Amazing Grace’s Projects

Grace is my oldest granddaughter and she is very interested in arts and crafts.  Her latest project consisted of rescuing some orphan 1/2 square blocks of mine.  After playing with them on the design wall for at least 20  minutes she settled on her pattern

She choose blocks within the orange -yellow /blue groups.

and then she sewed them into rows.  I was the designated ironer.  Grace wouldn’t let me take any pictures of her sewing as she said it bothered her.  Great  artists cannot be bothered with trivial things such as photos of works in progress.  She used my Janome Gem Gold and sat at a portable table adjusted to 21inches. The machine was fitted with a 1/4 inch foot with a flange to help wrangle the fabric.  Wow does Grace like to speed along.  In the interests of safety , no pins were used.  Here is her finished top.  Next step — quilting!

What a talented cutie pie. I bet it won’t be long before she is accompanying you to sewing retreats.
